Bring in the data you already have.
Bills, fuel card exports, waste dockets and supplier figures reach Emitt by upload, by email or through a link. Every file is kept as evidence before anything reads it.
Five ways in, one record at the end.
However a figure arrives, it becomes the same thing in Emitt: an activity attached to a site or project, priced with the right factor for its date, with the source file behind it.
Upload a spreadsheet
CSV or XLSX, using Emitt's templates for each activity type. One file can cover many sites and months.
Upload a portal export
Fuel card and waste reports are read as they come out of the provider's portal. Nothing to reformat.
Forward by email
Each data stream gets its own Emitt address. Statements that already arrive by email can be forwarded there.
Send a supplier link
Suppliers and subcontractors report their own emissions for your site and month, without an account.
Enter it by hand
For a one-off bill or a small site, type the figures straight in. They're checked and priced the same way.
What connects today, and what's coming.

Electricity from any retailer, priced on the right grid.
Electricity is Scope 2, and its factor depends on where it was used. Emitt prices each meter against its own state grid with the National Greenhouse Accounts Factors edition for the bill's date, so a site in Victoria and one in Queensland each get the right number.
These retailers are in Emitt's catalogue for the Consumer Data Right connection that's coming soon. Bills from any of them, or any other retailer, work through the template today.

Tell us what your provider sends you, and we'll look at reading it. Most new sources are a new statement layout on an intake path that already exists.
Questions about integrations
Which electricity retailers does Emitt work with?
All of them. Usage from any Australian retailer's bills goes into Emitt through the spreadsheet template or by hand, and is priced against the state grid the meter draws from. A direct connection to retailers through the Consumer Data Right is coming soon.
What happens to a file after we upload it?
Emitt stores the file before anything reads it, then turns each row into a record attached to a site or project. The original row stays on the record, so any figure can be traced back to the file it came from. Rows with a problem stay visible with the reason, rather than being dropped.
Do our suppliers need an Emitt account?
No. Each supplier or subcontractor gets a personal link for the site and month you need. They report their own emissions for what they supplied to you and can attach a statement, without creating an account.
Can Emitt connect to Xero or MYOB?
Not yet. Xero and MYOB connections are coming soon. Until then, the spreadsheet template takes the same figures.
See your own emissions in Emitt.
We're onboarding a small number of Australian businesses in the beta. Bring last year's bills and fuel card exports, and we'll set you up with your own data on the first call.
