Emitt is emissions reporting software for Australian businesses with real sites, plant and projects. We built it because the reporting we did for years never had a good answer to one question: where did this number come from?
Where Emitt comes from
Emitt started on infrastructure and construction projects, where we ran emissions and sustainability reporting for years. Every cycle looked the same: bills chased by email, figures copied into a master spreadsheet, factors looked up by hand, and no good answer when an auditor or a client asked where a number came from.
So we built the platform we needed: a data pipeline, a calculation engine and an audit trail, so every number traces back to its source and every change is recorded.
Today Emitt serves Australian businesses with real sites, plant and projects, and the people who have to report on them. We're in beta, onboarding a small number of businesses and building alongside them.

How we build Emitt
Six rules the product follows, because an emissions figure is only as good as the trail behind it.
Evidence first
Every file is stored before anything reads it, and the original row stays attached to the record it became. The source behind a number is always there to show.
Nothing silently dropped
A row with a problem stays visible with the reason, ready to fix. It is never quietly left out of a total.
Every total says what it leaves out
Each figure shows how many records it includes and how many it doesn't, so an incomplete month looks incomplete.
Factors from the source
Emission factors come from the Australian Government's National Greenhouse Accounts Factors, by edition and date, and are never edited by hand.
Corrections leave a trail
Fix a record and the change is logged with who made it and when. Every total it's counted in updates straight away.
We prepare, you sign
Emitt gets the numbers and the evidence ready. Your judgement, your narrative and your sign-off stay with you and your advisers.
