BetaNow onboarding Australian businesses

Your emissions data is scattered. We make sense of it.

Energy bills, fuel cards, waste dockets and supplier spreadsheets, spread across every site and inbox. Emitt collects them, checks them, and turns them into Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions you can trace back to the source.

01Traceability

Click any number. See where it came from.

Every total opens up into the activities behind it, and every activity opens up into the file, the factor and every edit ever made to it.

Every activity, with its working out

Open any record to see its quantity, factor and the sum behind it. Fix one and every total it's counted in updates straight away.

Report by project, site or depot

Set the business up the way you run it. Every figure rolls up from the project to the company.

Ready when someone asks

Emitt checks whether a year's data is ready for the packs buyers and regulators ask for, and shows what's missing from each.

02Coverage

Everything your business emits, in one place.

Every activity lands against a site or project, gets priced with the right factor for its date, and adds up into a total you can defend.

Scope 1

Fuel, fleet and gas

Diesel from fuel cards and bulk deliveries, gas bills, LPG, petrol and refrigerant top-ups. Everything burnt or leaked on your sites.

2,709.72kg CO₂e/kL · diesel
  • Diesel and petrol
  • Natural gas and LPG
  • Refrigerants
  • Fuel cards and bulk deliveries

Scope 2

Electricity, by grid

Bills and interval data from your retailer, priced against the state grid each meter draws from. A kilowatt-hour in Victoria and one in Tasmania are not the same number.

0.74kg CO₂e/kWh · Victoria
  • Retailer bills
  • Interval data
  • 8 state grids
  • Site meters

Scope 3 · reported apart

Your supply chain

Suppliers and carriers report their own emissions for what they sold or hauled to your sites, with evidence attached. Waste comes from your contractor's dockets.

200kg CO₂e/t · C&D waste to landfill
  • Purchased goods and services
  • Upstream transport
  • Waste to landfill
  • Kept apart from Scope 1 and 2

Example factors from the National Greenhouse Accounts Factors 2026. Emitt applies the edition that matches each activity's date.

03Integrations

Data from the places it already lives.

Energy retailers, fuel cards, utilities, accounting systems, waste contractors, spreadsheets and email. Connect what you can, and upload or forward the rest.

Don't see yours? Request an integration. We build connections to order.

04Supplier data

Your suppliers fill in a form. You get the numbers, and the proof.

Most of your Scope 3 sits with subcontractors, waste contractors and suppliers. Emitt asks them for it in plain language, follows up, and files what comes back.

01

Pick who to ask

Choose suppliers from your directory, and the site and month you need figures for.

02

They answer in minutes

A personal link with no login and no account. They enter their own figure and can attach a statement.

03

Emitt does the chasing

Requests go out on a schedule, and the tracker shows who has answered and who hasn't.

04

It lands in your ledger

Each line becomes a Scope 3 record exactly as reported, never estimated, with the evidence kept alongside.

05Insights

See where your emissions are going, and what's missing.

Month by month, site by site, with every gap in the data out in the open, and an assistant that answers from your own records.

Every month, every site

Each project and site, month by month, against the year before.

Ask your data a question

The assistant answers in plain English from your own records, and lists the sources behind every answer.

Answered by Emitt's own model, trained by us and hosted in Australia. Your questions, and the records used to answer them, aren't sent to any outside AI company.

Gaps shown, never hidden

Every total says how complete it is. A record that fails a check is set aside with its reason, and fixing it updates the total straight away.

  • Rows with problems are flagged, never dropped
  • Data completeness for every entity and month
06Product

Inside Emitt, screen by screen.

Your activity data, reports, compliance and the assistant, as your team will use them.

Every activity, with its paperwork

Upload a spreadsheet, forward a bill or connect a fuel card. Each row becomes an activity you can open, check and correct.

  • The original file and row stay with every figure
  • Rows with problems are flagged and kept in view
  • Fix a figure and the totals update straight away
07Industries

Built around the way your business runs.

Tower cranes over a construction site in a city
Made for construction

Report by project, even when the projects keep changing.

Head contractors, developers and government clients want emissions per project. Sites open and close, plant moves between them, and half the diesel is burnt by subcontractors. Emitt is built for that.

Projects, depots, fleet and office

Set up your business the way you already run it. Every figure rolls up from the project to the company.

Subcontractor data without the chasing

Send each subcontractor a link to report their own emissions on your job. Emitt sends the reminders.

Numbers ready for the tender

Pull a project's Scope 1 and 2 summary, with its Scope 3 alongside, for a tender response or a client report, with the source documents behind it.

08Security

Your data stays yours, and stays in Australia.

Energy use, sites and suppliers are commercial data. We run Emitt to the standard your IT and procurement teams expect, and we're working towards SOC 2.

How we protect your data

Hosted in Australia

Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure's Australia East region, with backups kept in Australia.

Encrypted everywhere

TLS for everything in transit, and encryption at rest for every database and stored file.

Separated by organisation

Every query is scoped to your organisation, and automated tests check that one customer can never see another's data.

Microsoft sign-in

Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, using your own MFA and passkeys. Admin and member roles control who can change what.

Every change logged

Corrections are recorded in an audit log with who made them and when, so a figure's history is never lost.

Evidence kept first

Every file is stored before anything reads it, so the source behind a number is always there to show an auditor.

Deployment

Use our cloud, or run Emitt inside your own Azure tenant.

Available on Microsoft Marketplace
Emitt Cloud

09FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Something else on your mind? Email [email protected] and we'll get back to you.

Mid-sized Australian businesses with physical operations: construction companies, manufacturers, transport operators, miners, farms and food producers. If you run more than one site, project or vehicle and someone is asking for your emissions, Emitt is built for you.

You send each supplier and carrier a personal link for the site and month you need. They report their own emissions for what they supplied or hauled to you, in tonnes CO₂e as their records show it, and can attach a statement, without creating an account. Emitt records each figure as reported and never estimates it. Waste to landfill comes from your waste contractor's dockets. Scope 3 is reported apart from your Scope 1 and 2 totals.

Yes. You decide how your business is structured, whether that's projects, sites, depots, plants, regions or business units. Every activity is attached to one of them, and totals roll up from there to the whole company.

From the National Greenhouse Accounts Factors published by the Australian Government each year. Emitt applies the edition that matches each activity's date, prices electricity against the state grid it came from, and shows the factor on every figure. Factors are never adjusted by hand.

Yes. Emitt tracks your readiness for AASB S2 with a Year 1 checklist and produces the metrics extract with the evidence behind each figure. Your governance, strategy and risk narrative stays with you and your advisers.

Yes. The Emitt assistant answers in plain English from your organisation's own records: which sites you report on, what's been uploaded, what was recorded in a month and which months are incomplete. Every answer lists the records it came from and links to the screen that holds them. It reads only, quotes figures exactly as they're recorded, and leaves totals to your reports. The assistant is optional and switched on per organisation. It runs on Emitt's own AI model, which we trained ourselves and host on Microsoft Azure in Australia, so your questions and the records used to answer them stay in Australia and aren't sent to any outside AI company. Your data isn't used to train it unless your administrator chooses to help improve the assistant.

Your data is hosted in Australia on Microsoft Azure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and separated from every other customer's. You sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, every change is logged, and we're working towards SOC 2. Our security page has the detail, and we're happy to answer your security questionnaire.

Yes. Emitt is available as an Azure Managed Application, deployed into your own Azure subscription so your data stays inside your tenant and under your security policies while we manage updates. Emitt Cloud, hosted by us on Microsoft Azure in Australia, is the other option. You can also buy Emitt through Microsoft Marketplace.

Last financial year's electricity bills, fuel card exports and gas bills are enough to begin. We set up your projects and sites with you on the first call, and you'll see your first numbers the same day.

10About

Built by people who've done the reporting.

Sustainability reporting and software engineering, brought together to build the tool we wished we'd had for every reporting cycle.

Where Emitt comes from

Emitt started on infrastructure and construction projects, where we ran emissions and sustainability reporting for years. Every cycle looked the same: bills chased by email, figures copied into a master spreadsheet, factors looked up by hand, and no good answer when an auditor or client asked where a number came from.

So we built the platform we needed. A data pipeline, a calculation engine and an audit trail, so every number traces back to its source and every change is recorded. Today Emitt serves Australian businesses with real sites, plant and projects, and the people who have to report on them.

Backed by Microsoft for Startups

Emitt is a recipient of Microsoft's startup support program, and runs on Microsoft Azure.
